About

THE HISTORY:

Let me strip Lea Electrics back to its roots….1963. Yes that’s right – 1963!! We started with three friends – Vic Tollervey, Len Higgs and Paul Day – repairing washing machines and bicycles – and charging large batteries (Acumulators) – when there was no mains electric for radios etc. My father and mother gradually took control of Lea Electrics and began directing the Company into new technology colour television and video. In 1973 we also moved Lea Electrics into its present location, to cater for the ever increasing customer base.

COMMITMENT:

We have always had a strong commitment to our community – offering support on all aspects of our industry, and this is reflected in our repeat custom. We are trusted for our honesty and the backup we provide, and we are constantly in pursuit of the lowest, most competitive prices. Our customers know we try our best to keep prices down, and reward us by bypassing the big High Street retailers – knowing they will get a full, personal after sales service from our team at Lea Electrics.

COMPANY STATEMENT:

This has brought us to being one of the original members of Euronics – Europe’s biggest buying group – with over 650 retailers in the U.K. and 3000 retailers throughout Europe. As a group, we can combine our buying power to compete with the multinationals, and win on every aspect of a transaction. Our clients’ first comment is usually ‘We didn’t realise you did so much!’ – which leads us to our Company statement – which is:

BIG ENOUGH TO COMPETE – SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE

Enjoy browsing our website, and you will be amazed at what we can do for you – we are truly ‘The Hidden Jewel of Luton’
